My Stack

AI tools I'm reaching for most right now

Claude Code

My primary thought partner and coding agent. Opus 4.5 + Skills + MCP made this my go-to for nearly everything. Powers much of my actual AI use at work and many of the personal projects in this lab.

Claude / Cowork

My favorite AI since early 2025, especially for brainstorming and writing. Since moving to Claude Code CLI I haven't looked back, but it seems desktop apps are better for multi-agent orchestration.

Cursor

I run Claude Code inside Cursor's terminal because I learn so much by seeing code in context and jumping directly into files. To stretch my subs/tokens I use Composer for simple tasks (it's so fast!)

ChatGPT

Still my go-to chatbot for quick general questions, multi-modal queries ("what's wrong with this fiddle leaf fig?"), and image gen (Images 2.0 is jaw-dropping!) Codex with GPT-5.5 is on the rise.

Wispr Flow

Voice-to-text that just works. I've become dependent on it but the subscription fee feels high, so I'm testing alternatives like Handy (open source, free, fast, and uses local models like Parakeet V3).

Granola

Out-of-sight (unobtrusive in meetings) and out-of-mind (syncs/auto-starts with calendar). I like its meeting summaries and web-searchable transcripts, but haven't used templates or recipes much.

Raycast

A smarter Spotlight + AI commands. Helps me get around my Mac faster, especially file search, window management, clipboard history, and webpage/YouTube summaries.

Nano Banana

Excellent, fast image generation that's delightful. My entire family tests new hairstyles here! ChatGPT is better at editing/iterating on images and producing alpha-channel transparency though.

n8n

Home to my first actually useful automations and agents, and I still prefer its deterministic workflow graphs and the ability to look under the hood vs. prompt-driven or more abstracted tools.

Lovable

My preferred rapid prototyping tool with the best one-shot UI vs. Replit, Bolt, or v0. I graduate most prototypes to Claude Code anyway, so want to try starting there with a mock screenshot from GPT.

Welcome to my space for sharing (often unfinished, usually rough) experiments and learnings from daily AI use in my personal life. I'm a leader and people manager who's still a builder at heart, and this is how I stay close to the tech and learn the strengths/quirks of new models, applications, and AI's ever-expanding capabilities. Although I'm incurably interested in shiny new things, I strive to find the balance between playing with the latest tools and gaining real reps with what works for me.
